The IT Assistant supports the IT Manager / IT Director in ensuring smooth daily operations of the hotels computer systems network and hardware. This role will provide technical support to staff and guests maintains IT infrastructure and helps keep systems secure and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware software network telephones and printers
- Install configure and update computers and peripherals
- Assist hotel guests with in-room IT issues
- Monitor and maintain network equipment (Wi-Fi switches routers)
- Perform backups and restores as and when needed
- Manage user accounts and access rights
- Apply security updates and monitor for security issues
- Maintain IT equipment inventory
- Support onboarding of new employees with IT setup
- Follow hotel safety and emergency procedures
Qualifications :
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience (hospitality experience preferred)
- Good English communication skills
- Knowledge of Windows OS Office 365 and Active Directory
- Basic networking (TCP/IP Wi-Fi VLANS)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and backups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel Power Point Outlook)
