Description: The Professional Development Facilitator for the PRISM III Grant CKLA Curriculum Implementation for Grades 4-5 will create a two-day 14-hour session for the Curriculum Council for teachers in grades 4-5. The council will meet on July 31 and August 1. In addition to the Curriculum Council Sessions the facilitators will create a two-day 14-hour session for teachers in Grades 4-5. The session will be done twice. The dates of the sessions are as follows: Session 1 August 11-12 and Session 2 August 21-22 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The team will meet with the K-8 Director of ELA in the summer to create the scope and sequence for this work and then will have asynchronous time to complete it. Team members will report to Louise DeSisto K-8 Director of ELA/Literacy regarding this offering. Topics that will be covered include:
Working Time/Modality: Up to 112 Hours ($4480) between July and August 2025 which will include attendance at the following working sessions:
Additionally asynchronous work will be assigned before and after meeting times.

Compensation: up to 112 hours or a total of $4480 per person (based on the number of coaches). Stipend paid as one sum at the end of the completed professional development.
