Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship at Bleng Farms

Bleng Farms are a large mixed farm supplying lamb to Morrisons and beef to Waitrose. We take pride in producing top-quality products and even more pride in the welfare of our team. Your happiness health and enjoyment at work are their top priorities.
Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary:7.55 an hourAutomatic salary increase after 1 year of apprenticeship for those who are 19
- Working Week:Monday to Friday 9 am till 4 pm with a 60-minute lunch break
- Hours:30 hours per week
- Duration: 18 months
- Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship standard qualification
- Online training supported by our dedicated tutors
- Location: Mill House Farm Seascale Cumbria CA20 1BH
The Role:
As a General Farm Worker Apprentice youll gain hands-on experience across various areas of the farm. From working with livestock to learning how to operate machinery every day will bring something new. Youll be outdoors year-round so resilience and a genuine love for the British countryside (whatever the weather!) are a must.

- Any experience with livestock or machinery is a bonus but not essential.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end
The successful candidate will obtain a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship standard qualification.
Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentices needs the frequency of these sessions may vary.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship
Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
Pre-employment checks. Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - Matrix Screening. The company also completes an internal online social media search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
