Job Description
Job Title: Sanitation Worker/Dishwasher
Location: Merriam KS 66202
Shift: 2nd Shift (Sunday Thursday 12:00 PM 8:30PM)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour W2
Position Summary:
This role focuses exclusively on dishwashing responsibilities in a high-volume customer-facing retail food environment. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean safe and efficient back-of-house area by ensuring a continuous flow of sanitized dishes and utensils.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dishes utensils cookware pots pans trays and kitchen equipment in accordance with Food Safety Standards
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and follow proper sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area
- Ensure that clean dishware is returned to service areas in a timely manner
- Assist in general cleaning tasks such as mopping wiping surfaces and trash removal
- Follow all IKEA Food safety hygiene and sanitation protocols
- Support the IKEA Food team and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume food service or retail environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
