Our Housing Solutions Service offers advice and support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We help customers respond proactively to their housing situation and find suitable affordable accommodation.
As a Housing Solutions Team Leader based at our lively Bourne Hill Hub in Salisbury you will share responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Housing Solutions Service in a job-share with another part-time team leader. Working hours are Wednesday afternoon all day Thursday and Friday.
You will lead a dedicated team of about 11 FTE officers delivering housing advice and fulfilling our statutory duties. You and your team will work with people facing difficult circumstances - eviction relationship breakdown abuse sofa surfing or mortgage issues. Many of our customers are facing financial hardship or have experienced trauma.
Were looking for someone who is empathetic resilient and able to work with both customers and staff in a trauma-informed way. You will provide expert advice and coach staff ensuring they work proactively to prevent or relieve homelessness in a customer-centred way. You will be collaborating with colleagues and external agencies on complex cases.
You will bring at least 3 years experience in housing a degree or equivalent in-depth knowledge of allocations and homelessness law private rented sector law and social housing law.
