Now Hiring: Staff Accountant(Onsite - Grand Prairie TX)
Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT
Location: Grand Prairie Office(Some Local Travel Required - 25%)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Grand Prairie team. This is an onsite position responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records through journal entries reconciliations and ledger analysis. The Staff Accountant will also contribute to month-end close processes and assist with financial audits and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries; generate financial reports for monthly close.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze monthly financial trends for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and respond to inquiries related to general ledger accounts.
- Support preparation of corporate audit schedules for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Contribute to special accounting projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (required)
- 1-2 years of professional accounting experience (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with accounting/payroll systems required
- Oracle experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of General Accounting Principles
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment
Other Requirements:
- Valid drivers license and active auto insurance (for travel)
- Must pass background check Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review and drug test
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Office-based role with extensive sitting phone computer and desk work
- Occasional kneeling and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Interacts with individuals from diverse backgrounds both one-on-one and in groups
- May require flexible scheduling or occasional overtime
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 25% local travelwithin Dallas County
