Summer 2025

Grades 4-5 PRISM III CKLA Implementation and Planning

Description: The PRISM III CKLA Implementation and Planning Professional Development will support the implementation of the new ELA Curriculum for the 2025-2026 school year in grades 4-5. Teachers will meet twice in the summer with the K-8 Director of ELA to analyze end-of-year data develop routines for teaching CKLA and plan for its implementation in the coming school year. Team members will report to Louise DeSisto K-8 Director of ELA/Literacy regarding this offering.

Working Time/Modality: Up to 14 Hours to include attendance at the following working sessions:

  • August 11-12th 8 AM to 3 PM
  • August 21-22nd 8 AM to 3 PM

Participants should choose either of the two dates.

Requirements:

Current assignment that is responsible for implementation or supporting the Grades 4-5 ELA curriculum including the following roles: Grades 4-5 Classroom Teacher EL Teacher SPED teacher

Compensation: up to 14 hours or a total of $560 per person (based on the number of teachers participating). Stipend paid as one sum at the end of the professional development.
