JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: CNC LATHE OPERATOR - Steady Nights Shift
REPORTS TO: MACHINING LEADER
JOB FUNCTION:
In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc. the Lathe Operator is responsible for operating a lathe machine to build tools. Reporting to the Machining Leader the Lathe Operator ensures first-time quality is a priority each and every time while also achieving time allowances for each job assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
On a daily basis:
- Utilize manipulate and process 2D prints;
- Machine steel/aluminum with close attention to health and safety requirements;
- Use the tools and machinery provided and operate the Lathe machine.
- Machine diameters and hex stock
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure first-time quality;
As required:
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs;
- Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts as needed;
- Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions initiating repair work orders etc.;
- Participate in required meetings and training as requested.

EDUCATION
- A high school diploma or equivalent is .
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to read and interpret detail prints to prepare round and hex stock for grinder hand.
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong leadership interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
