Whats the role
As a Senior Engineer within the Cards and Payments Change team you will play a key role in delivering software development and scheme compliance projects that enhance the payments and switch platform.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into clear actionable technical designs. The role spans the full project lifecyclefrom requirements gathering and design to development testing and implementation. Youll work closely with cross-functional technical teams particularly those interfacing with the switching platform and contribute to the analysis of local and international scheme requirements to deliver tailored solutions. A strong understanding of existing code and configurations is essential for effective troubleshooting and solution design.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic collaborative environment and is confident working independently to deliver high-quality technical outcomes. Youll also support the enterprise test team in defining test scopes and executing test cases. What do I need
- Solid understanding of cards and payments industry.
- Expert: PLI IMS DB/DC EASYTRIEVE and JCL
- Intermediate: DB2 SQL COBOL (not mandatory)
- Deep understanding of ATM and POS transaction processing.
- Excellent proficiency in analysing requirements and translating into technical design.
- Communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
