Job Description

Assistant Cross Country Coach 2025 Fall Sports SeasonReport To: Athletic Director/PrincipalExperience: Demonstrated success as a cross country athlete coaching experience : Demonstrated knowledge of cross country rules and techniques and aptitude for the following performance responsibilities:Ability to promote school spirit and good sportsmanship; maintain team discipline; and generate enthusiasm within the with Athletic Director to ensure that student-athletes meet all eligibility Athletic Director in scheduling of interscholastic with same-season coaching staff to schedule facility and other related a valid CPR / First Aid / AED certification or be willing to become certifiedSuccessfully completed the MIAA Coaches Education completed the NFHS concussion certification class and ability to adhere to all school and state concussion other related duties as determined by the Athletic Director and/or with all District policies and procedures as outlined in Coaches and Fingerprint clearance required. Coaches may be required to operate a van for the purpose of transporting students to and from athletic contests and practices. Salary for this position is as per negotiated contract with the Newburyport School Committee and the Newburyport Teachers Association.
