You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe position is responsible for leadership on the accounting close and consolidation process for LATAM region with a team of country controllers/finance managers and their staff. Position is ultimately responsible for the coordination and management of all accounting processes procedures and systems to ensure the accurate and timely financial close. In addition responsible for assessing team structure to ensure right organization. Position is also a significant player for acquisitions (integration activities).
Primary responsibilities include: 1) lead LATAM organization to ensure accurate and reliable consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and other appropriate standards; 2) support and promotion of a standard global footprint of financial systems/processes maintained coordinating corporate close responsibilities balance sheet integrity and analysis ensuring compliance with Company policies and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; 3) lead and develop team. 4) Strategic vision influencing change management and managerial presence will be crucial to success in this role as the position will interact with numerous functional areas such as Tax Treasury Legal Enterprise FP&A SBS Finance Transformation and the Group & Division commercial finance teams for LATAM.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assess and determine appropriate Controllership org in in LATAM region.
Business Unit/Divisional Consolidation Close
Monthly Procedures
Coordinate and review Balance Sheet and Income Statement variance analysis
Review monthly journal entries related high risk/judgmental areas
Review/oversight/tracking/reporting of balance sheet accounts
Assist in ad hoc analysis.
Quarterly & Annual Procedures
Prepare/Review quarterly commentary and presentation on results for the LATAM Region
Prepare/Review quarterly Corporate reporting requirements (visual lease restructuring
balance sheet / income statement certs etc)
Oversee LATAM statutory audits to ensure timely completion.
Ownership of Statutory Financial Statements
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Review/oversight/tracking
Ensuring reconciling items are current supported and cleared in a timely fashion
Control owner for subledger accounting hub reconciliations for R12 ERPs
Support system implementations and ensure local requirements are met/addressed
Ownership (and possibly development) of key controls to ensure the accuracy of financial results and reporting
Act on integration of acquisitions from a financial and accounting perspective.
Provide support for audit requests (internal and external including statutory audits)
Involvement in key company initiatives and various system or process implementations
Manage country controllers/managers
Train and coach team members providing leadership guidance and developmental opportunities
Ensure the staffs achievement ofprescribed goals
Drive continuous improvement mindset and initiatives among team members
Succession development
Partnership with peers in other networks in Enterprise Finance to develop and align the new ways of working under new systems and processes. This includes ensuring business continuity during the transition to the new enterprise structure.
Supporting and ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
Internal controls gate keeper and US GAAP resource
