The Boeing Space & Launch Divisions Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program is looking for a Lead Developer in Colorado Springs CO or El Segundo CA.

The Boeing Space Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Divisions GSCCE program is seeking motivated goal-achieving and team-oriented systems engineers to update upgrade and develop an updated and modernized global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage the WGS Payloads for all F1-F12 satellites for the Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive applications using Java Python and related technologies.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers to implement design specifications align with requirements and peer code reviews.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to review performance issues identify root causes recommend direction and develop a solution to ensure optimal performance.

• Develop clean maintainable and efficient code within the existing codebase ensuring alignment with established architecture and coding standards.

• Excellent communication skills working with end-users to design and build solutions to their needs a habit of self-directed learning of new technologies and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

This position is expected to be fully on site at Colorado Springs Colorado or El Segundo California.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Active Secret clearance

• 5 years of experience in Software Engineering using modern software development approaches.

• 5 years of experience with software development using either Java C or Python

• 5 years of experience with web based development leveraging ReactJS Redux JavaScript TypeScript HTML CSS

• 3 years of experience with RESTFul APIs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.

• 5 years of experience with open-source software development experience.

• 5 years of experience with fine tuning Kubernetes and the underlying host OS for optimal performance.

• 5 years of experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments.

• 3 years of experience as a well-rounded engineer who is comfortable wearing multiple hats such as a front-end (UI/UX) database and backend.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices along with experience supporting Government security requirements for software delivery involving system accreditation.

• Experience working in an Agile software development environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira Confluence Bitbucket etc.) or similar tools.

Travel: 10%
