Programs Coordinator will contribute to building a strategic dynamic network partner centered approach to distributing food and other essential services to those in need. The Programs Coordinator will ensure partner compliance support the development of the network and serve as an advocate for the people partners and communities served by the Foodbank. Primary responsibilities include coordinating facilitating and implementing the Foodbanks home delivery program which delivers groceries directly to individuals facing transportation or health-related barriers and other programs supporting access to food for vulnerable populations. This work involves travel throughout the eight-county service territory. Salary Range: $43-$45k based on experience. Job Responsibilities: - Provide programmatic support of Foodbank led strategic initiatives and programs.
- Coordinate implement and grow the home delivery program in partnership with internal departments volunteer drivers third-party delivery services and community referral partners.
- Recruit onboard and manage a network of volunteer drivers and coordinate delivery logistics training and scheduling to ensure timely respectful and consistent service to neighbors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of home delivery recipients deliveries made and partner referrals using the Foodbanks delivery database and data tools.
- Coordinate with network partners community partners volunteers and Foodbank staff to ensure a high degree of programmatic execution compliance satisfaction and optimum volunteer experience.
- Prepare materials for external audits and other interactions as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge about the communities served by the Foodbank and serve as an effective and informed Foodbank liaison.
- Assist in resolving complex and sensitive customer service issues either personally by phone or in writing; maintain records and documents of customer service issues and/or involve leadership to ensure appropriate resolution.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on communications funding proposals and data collection.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications (knowledge skills abilities competencies): - Bachelors Degree from four-year College or University required; social sciences health education psychology sociology public administration degree preferred.
- One to three years of community organizing or customer service.
- Passionate advocate for meeting the meal gap.
- Must be able to discern work priorities and meet deadlines with little supervision and be willing to travel throughout the eight-county service region daily.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with a broad scope of stakeholders and collaborating organizations to progress the vision and mission of the Foodbank.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
- Demonstrate appropriate professional behavior using a high degree of tact and diplomacy in working with others; models and exercises sound judgment regarding interpersonal relationships; maintains stable performance and emotional control when faced with opposition pressure hostility from others or otherwise stressful conditions.
- Excellent project management and organizational ability.
- Proficient in preparing and executing effective communication strategies both verbal and written to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint with a special focus on Excel. Experience with Access or other database software desirable.
- Able to research analyze and troubleshoot problems. Able to apply learning appropriately.
- Work independently set priorities and anticipate reporting and communication needs of supervisor.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Available during off-hours for communications of all kinds.
- Must be able to follow all American Institute of Baking Feeding America Food and Drug Administration United States Department of Agriculture Occupational Safety Hazard Administration and Foodbank (standard operating procedures and employee handbook) safety regulations
