Job Description
- Performs typical machine shop tasks to support the assembly floor.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks
- Loading and unloading of thru-feed center less grinders.
- Loading and unloading of infeed automatic grinders.
- Gauge parts on bench micrometers.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
- Maintain Quality Standards by being most thorough in inspecting parts for defects.
- Being able to use an indicator and the profilometer.
- Willing to help out in other areas if machine goes down.
- Loading & unloading of work pieces/parts.
- Keeping and maintaining a clean work area which includes but is not limited to mopping the floor wiping down the machines etc
- A sharp eye for detail
- A conscientious safe individual
- Understands the process & instruction
- Good communication skills
- Good hand & eye coordination
- Packing experience (preferred)
- Production experience(preferred)
- Manufacturing experience(preferred)
