Shift timing: 5:40 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. (Monday Thursday)

Designing sheet metal progressive stamping dies is a must have

• Design the following;
  • Progressive pierce and form dies which will include stock strip development
  • Single hit pierce and form dies.
  • Special tools such as robotic weld fixtures assembly fixtures and drill fixtures.
  • Drilling & routing machines
  • Custom machine fabrication applications varying in degree of complexity.
• Rebuild and redesign existing tooling to be upgraded sometimes with little or no documentation.
• Develop and work with working sketches.
• Convert 2D drawings to 3D SolidWorks drawings when necessary. other 3d softwares acceptable
• Consult and work with tool and die makers design and production engineers press operators and assembly line workers as required to ensure proper part and die design criteria is met.
• Plot drawings create bill of materials and order materials and commercial items for die and machine projects.
• Assemble project files for shop distribution and records.
• Communicate frequently with leadership team and project requesters regarding status of projects.
• Provide quotes as needed for dies special machines and fixtures as needed
• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• One or more years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organizations
