Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Management Couple for a luxury remote lodge based in Malawi. This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed couple who thrive in remote environments and are driven by excellence in guest service team leadership and conservation-led hospitality.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
Proven experience in hospitality management preferably within safari lodges
Previous experience managing lodges outside of South Africa
Culturally sensitive and adaptable to diverse environments
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Competent in managing renovation and maintenance projects
Solid understanding of guest service standards and hospitality best practices
Flexible proactive and adaptable mindset
Passion for conservation nature and sustainable tourism
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to live in a remote conservation area with a flexible schedule
Ability to work collaboratively and share responsibilities effectively as a couple
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive oversight of lodge operations maintaining quality standards safety procedures and environmental practices
Manage renovations and maintenance projects liaising with contractors suppliers and team members to ensure timely completion
Build and maintain a strong motivated team through staff training support and performance management
Deliver personalised guest experiences to maximise satisfaction and encourage repeat business
Handle guest bookings enquiries and feedback with professionalism and care
Maintain high standards across lodge facilities grounds and amenities while upholding sustainable tourism principles
Ensure adherence to health safety and environmental compliance
Foster positive relationships with local communities and conservation partners to support responsible tourism
Assist with marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract a diverse range of guests
Implement systems to control fresh dry and kitchen goods as well as lodge equipment and assets in collaboration with the Lodge Consultant
