Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the evolution of our IT environment into a cloud-first scalable and secure architecture. This role is heavily centered on Microsoft Azure Infrastructure-as-Code automation and modern identity and endpoint management. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of operations and engineering applying best practices in cloud security performance optimization and platform scalability.
Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design deploy and manage scalable infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
- Build and maintain secure Azure Landing Zones using Policy and Blueprints.
- Administer core Azure services: Azure AD VNets NSGs storage accounts and backups.
- Monitor usage optimize costs and enforce governance policies.
Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation
- Implement IaC pipelines using Terraform Bicep or ARM templates.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using Azure DevOps GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
- Create reusable scripts and modules using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
Modern Endpoint Management
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for MDM and MAM.
- Lead Windows Autopilot deployments for zero-touch device provisioning.
- Implement compliance policies configuration profiles and endpoint security (BitLocker Defender).
Virtualization & Hybrid Infrastructure
- Support legacy virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V as needed.
- Migrate on-prem workloads to Azure and support hybrid connectivity (VPN ExpressRoute).
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Apply zero-trust principles using Conditional Access Azure AD and RBAC.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and third-party tools (e.g. Splunk Darktrace).
- Lead incident response root cause analysis and remediation planning.
Performs other duties as assigned.
* This position is Hybrid at our Tempe location.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Bachelors degree in software engineering information systems or relevant degree. In lieu of a degree relevant skills and certifications may be considered.
- 3 years in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- 3 years of deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting (PowerShell Bicep Terraform).
- Experience with Microsoft Intune Autopilot and modern endpoint security.
- Strong grasp of cloud identity and access management.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or higher.
- VMware VCP certification.
- Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management systems.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk Darktrace or Microsoft Sentinel.
