You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe primary role of this position is to assist students by providing career counseling and coaching on career exploration career planning job search preparing for and competing in experiential learning opportunities preparation for application to clinical programs professional employment and graduate and professional school opportunities. The position also works with college faculty and administration to help embed career-related learning outcomes into the classroom facilitating out-of-classroom career education opportunities and programming. This position requires knowledge of career counseling theories and practices job search coaching and job market knowledge.

Our department is a comprehensive and centralized office that works with current students and alumni. Our office encompasses career development experiential learning and employer relations to help students explore gain experience and articulate their story. Boise State Universitys Strategic Plan Blueprint for Success includes the goal of improving educational access and student success. This incorporates integrating career education and experiential learning opportunities into the curriculum and the student experience to improve career readiness and post-graduation outcomes. We are working with campus partners to achieve these goals. We strive to help students from the moment they step on campus to Beyond Boise State. Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills policies and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.
Career Counseling and Job Search Advising 70%
Career Development Liaison 20%
Group Facilitation 10%
Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 2 years experience.
