Rovios award-winning audio team defines how our games and products sound and how audio should be used at Rovio. We are extremely passionate about all things revolving around audio and we pride ourselves in creating immersive and emotionally engaging adaptive audio experiences.
As a Senior Technical Sound Designer you will be responsible for implementing various audio content for our game projects. You will be expected to support our adaptive audio systems and improve our pipelines and workflows. You will collaborate closely with our audio craft leads and have the chance to work with all departments to build and define how our game projects should sound like.
This position is based in Espoo Finland and follows a hybrid work model with two on-site days per week. Not currently in Finland No problem we offer relocation support.
You will have impact and fun at work by doing:
Project Management:
Help ensure that all projects and their updates are delivered on time with the agreed identity quality and other specs.
Help define overall project audio direction (identity creative tech etc.)
Keep project roadmaps tasks and documentation up-to-date and actively communicate changes to relevant collaborators.
Help manage project priorities and scopes.
Supervise external partners.
Content:
Responsible for following the given direction design and quality of technical sound design content (scripts tools etc.)
Help with audio content implementation and middleware authoring together with other collaborators.
Help with bug fixing and optimisation together with other collaborators.
Experience and skills we are looking for:
Extensive experience in game development and have at least one shipped game title under your belt.
Solid experience working in the mobile gaming industry.
Excellent understanding of the whole game audio process.
Solid understanding of C# or other relevant programming skills.
Good knowledge and knowhow of Unity game engine.
Excellent knowledge and knowhow of common audio middlewares.
Solid DAW skills and knowledge of industry-standard plugins.
Excellent self-management organisational problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
