Job Overview/Summary:
As an Oral Surgeon Dental Assistant you will support the clinical needs of patients and doctors while contributing to a culture of collaboration and innovation. Your efforts will help improve oral health in the community one smile at a time. This role requires daily travel to nearby dental offices to support patient care.
Responsibilities:
Travel to nearby offices to support patient care
Assist during a variety of oral surgery treatment procedures
Take dental X-rays
Set up and break down the operatory after treatment
Manage infection control protocols-prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies
Perform general office tasks as needed
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure excellent patient care
Primary Skills:
Proficiency in dental assisting for oral surgery
X-ray certification
Infection control and sterilization procedures
Effective patient education and communication
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Prior experience supporting multiple offices
Bilingual communication skills
Familiarity with Aspen Dental systems (if applicable)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Active license registration or permit as required by the state
Dental X-ray certification
Valid non-restricted drivers license and appropriate auto insurance (or ability to be insured under company fleet)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to travel and support multiple locations
