Safety Management
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of work areas machinery and practices.
Identify hazards assess risks and recommend preventive measures.
Ensure availability and proper use of PPE and safety gear across the facility.
Investigate accidents incidents and near-misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
Training & Awareness
Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors.
Organize periodic safety training and toolbox talks for staff.
Promote awareness of fire safety first aid chemical handling and emergency procedures.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain HSE records including inspection reports MSDS incident logs and permits.
Ensure compliance with local environmental occupational health and safety laws.
Support implementation of ISO 45001 ISO 14001 or other HSE standards if applicable.
Environmental Protection
Monitor waste disposal emissions noise and other environmental impacts.
Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials (chemicals fuels etc.).
Promote sustainability and energy conservation practices.
Emergency Preparedness
Develop and regularly test emergency response plans (fire drills evacuation procedures etc.).
Coordinate with external agencies for fire safety and medical support when needed.
Maintain firefighting and first aid equipment in working condition.
Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with production maintenance and quality teams to ensure integrated safety practices.
Report unsafe conditions and support the implementation of engineering or administrative controls.
Prepare monthly HSE reports and present findings to management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or related field.
25 years of HSE experience preferably in a foundry manufacturing or heavy industry.
Knowledge of national HSE laws and standards.
HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IOSH OSHA or equivalent preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation.
Strong observation communication and reporting skills.
First Aid and Fire Safety training certification is a plus.
