Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The CNA will support nursing staff in providing high-quality patient-centered care for adult and geriatric patients primarily with cardiac-related conditions. This is a dynamic and rewarding role within a 25-bed intermediate care unit.
Key Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and licensed personnel
Assist with daily living activities hygiene mobility and nutritional support
Accurately document vital signs input/output and patient activities
Support patient monitoring and respond to needs promptly and compassionately
Maintain a clean safe and therapeutic environment
Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to promote quality outcomes
Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and safety regulations
Weekend Hours: Required
Call: Required when census is low
Float Requirement: Yes to similar units as needed
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 0 (PRN/Per Diem)
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Kentucky
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (required)
1 2 years of experience in acute or progressive care settings preferred
Knowledge of cardiac patient care strongly preferred
Strong communication teamwork and time management skills
Beds: 25
Patient Ratios:
Day Shift: 4:1
Night Shift: 5:1
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Common Diagnoses: Cardiac conditions and related treatments
Equipment: Omnicell

Reliable and flexible able to float when needed
Team-oriented with a calm and efficient demeanor
Strong interest or background in cardiac care and progressive nursing environments
