Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for the decontamination sterilization assembly and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies in a Level II Trauma Center. The technician will work a 5x8-hour day shift with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities. Experience in various surgical specialties is required.
Location: Everett Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Sterilization of instruments and supplies using appropriate methods.
- Assembly and wrapping of instrument trays and sets.
- Case cart preparation and distribution.
- High-level disinfection (HLD) procedures.
- Maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Scrubbing in for surgical procedures.
- Working in inpatient outpatient and trauma settings.
- Experience with Ortho Urology Endo/Laparoscopic Vascular Thoracic Neuro Gyn Bariatrics Plastics Podiatry ENT Transplant Robotics and Implants surgical cases.
- Adhering to infection control protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Participating in a 3-day orientation.
- Responding to on-call requests on rotating weekends.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification.
- Experience in various surgical specialties (Ortho Urology Endo/Laparoscopic Vascular Thoracic Neuro Gyn Bariatrics Plastics Podiatry ENT Transplant Robotics and Implants).
- Inpatient outpatient and trauma setting experience.
- Experience with sterilization decontamination assembly/wrap case cart HLD and scrubbing.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with ophthalmology cases.
- Experience utilizing SPM.
- Experience using Epic.

Special Considerations:
- Rotating weekend on-call responsibilities.
- Three-day orientation required upon hire.
- No block scheduling; case-by-case consideration possible.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions accepted).
- Level II Trauma Center environment.

Scheduling:
- 5x8-hour day shift Monday-Friday.
- Rotating weekend shifts (possibly twice per month).
- On-call rotation on weekends.
