Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Program Manager to lead and coordinate the end-to-end transition of manufacturing operations from one country to another. This role will be critical in assessing the impact of global tariffs trade regulations and cost structures and executing a relocation plan that minimizes risk ensures business continuity and aligns with long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Analysis
Analyze global tariff trends trade agreements and geopolitical risks to drive manufacturing location decisions.
Develop business cases for relocation including cost-benefit analysis tax/tariff impacts labor considerations and supply chain implications.
Partner with executive leadership to align relocation strategy with overall corporate goals.
Program Execution
Lead cross-functional programs involving engineering supply chain finance quality legal and HR to execute the transition plan.
Create detailed program roadmaps timelines and risk mitigation plans.
Ensure timely execution of key milestones including site selection supplier transfers regulatory approvals and go-live plans.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate program progress challenges and risk mitigation strategies to C-suite and other key stakeholders.
Engage local and international partners vendors and consultants as needed for successful transition.
Operational Transition
Oversee knowledge and technology transfer to the new manufacturing location.
Ensure seamless transition of quality systems compliance protocols and product validation activities.
Monitor startup performance troubleshoot issues and drive stabilization plans.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all activities comply with international trade laws customs regulations and local labor/environmental laws.
Proactively identify and manage risks associated with relocation (logistics legal reputational etc.).
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering Operations Supply Chain or Business; MBA or Masters preferred.
7 10 years of program or operations management in manufacturing supply chain or global operations.
Demonstrated experience managing international relocation or greenfield/brownfield manufacturing programs.
Strong understanding of global tariffs trade regulations and supply chain economics.
Excellent project management skills (PMP or Six Sigma certification a plus).
Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience.
Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
