Job Summary:
This role is for a CT Technologist responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans on adult patients in various settings within an acute care hospital. The technologist will utilize advanced imaging techniques and post-processing skills to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. The position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
- Performing CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck and spine including contrast administration when necessary.
- Utilizing advanced image post-processing techniques such as 3D rendering MPR and ROI measurement.
- Preparing patients for scans including starting IVs and administering contrast media.
- Maintaining a safe and sterile environment adhering to radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.
- Documenting procedures and findings accurately and completely.
- Performing coronary CTA and other special procedures as needed.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed to support the department.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Active Illinois state license or in the application process with an estimated completion date.
- Experience with adult acute care adult outpatient ICU emergency department and Level I trauma settings.
- Proficiency in performing various CT scans (abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine) with and without contrast.
- Experience with 3D rendering MPR and ROI measurement.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions contrast media preparation and administration and radiation safety.
- Ability to start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture.
- Experience with coronary CTA.

Special Considerations:
- On-call and holiday coverage required as needed.
- Every third weekend and one night of call per week.
- Guaranteed hours with a clause for client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment.
- Schedule requests should be discussed with the manager.
- No floating to other areas outside of the CT Technologist scope.
- RTO restrictions should be discussed with the manager.
Scheduling:
- 4 ten-hour evening shifts (12:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
