Job Summary:
This role is for a CT Technologist responsible for performing a variety of computed tomography (CT) exams in a 151-bed community hospital setting. The technologist will work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team adhering to established protocols and maintaining high standards of patient care. The position requires proficiency in various CT procedures and the use of specific equipment and software.
Location: Huntersville North Carolina United States
Responsibilities:
- Performing a variety of CT exams including general scans biopsies/drains cardiac imaging radiation treatment planning and scans for research.
- Utilizing GE and Siemens CT scanners.
- Administering contrast media and performing IV starts as needed.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Documenting procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC and McKesson).
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Participating in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Experience with adolescents adults and geriatrics in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Proficiency in CT procedures (Abdomen Pelvis Head/Neck Chest Spine Musculoskeletal Aspirations/Biopsies Colonography CT Arthrography Drainage CTAs Multiplanar Reconstruction).
- Experience with EPIC and McKesson systems.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT (CT) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with neonates pediatrics and infants.
- Experience in Level I Trauma centers or community hospitals.
- Experience with biopsies and myelography.
- Experience with radiation therapy planning.
Special Considerations:
- No on-call requirements.
- No weekend work.
- No float pool requirements.
- RTO (Return to Office) after booking is not allowed.
- Missed shifts must be made up within the same week or added to the end of the contract.
- 151-bed community hospital setting with two CT scanners located near the Emergency Department.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (Monday Tuesday Wednesday).
- Shift times: 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM.
- 13-week contracts accepted.
