Job Title : Senior Cloud Database Administrator - SQL/NoSQL / AWS / DevOps
Job Type : C2C / W2
Experience : 8-15 Years
Location : San Jose California (On-Site)
Responsibilities:

8 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
-
Strong expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL MySQL SQL Server Oracle).
-
Hands-on experience with NoSQL technologies (MongoDB Redis Cassandra DynamoDB).
-
Experience with data governance auditing and regulatory compliance (GDPR HIPAA etc.).
-
Exposure to database-as-a-service (DBaaS) and Kubernetes-managed database platforms.
-
Proficiency in cloud database services (e.g. Amazon RDS Aurora Azure SQL Cosmos DB).
-
Working knowledge of backup/recovery tools replication strategies and clustering technologies.
-
Solid grasp of Linux/Unix system administration and scripting (Bash Python PowerShell).
-
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus Grafana Datadog or CloudWatch.
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines infrastructure as code (IaC) and containerization is a plus.

Strong troubleshooting communication and documentation skills.

Install configure upgrade and patch SQL/NoSQL database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB Cassandra SQL Server).

Monitor and optimize database performance replication backups indexing and query optimization.

Ensure high availability disaster recovery and backup strategies are in place and tested.

Design and implement data security strategies including encryption access control and compliance audits.

Automate database maintenance tasks using scripts and DevOps tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform Jenkins).

Work closely with development DevOps and infrastructure teams for seamless integration and performance tuning.

Proactively identify and resolve production issues and provide 24/7 support on a rotational basis.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors in engineering computer science or any other related field.
