Job Location: MTV CA / San Diego CA / Plano TX (100% Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior AWS DevSecOps Network Engineer to join our growing team. This critical role will be responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of our complex network infrastructure with a strong emphasis on cloud integration security and automation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of networking principles hands-on experience with AWS scripting proficiency in Python and expertise in cybersecurity best practices particularly with AWS.
Responsibilities:
Design implement and manage hybrid cloud and on-premises network infrastructure.
Lead the migration and integration of network services into AWS.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or GO.
Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure network connectivity and performance.
Create and maintain documentation.
Participate in on-call rotation for support as necessary
Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Stay current with the latest networking technologies and security threats.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
10 years of experience in network engineering.
Extensive experience with AWS networking services (VPC Transit Gateway Direct Connect etc.).
AWS development and microservices automation experience.
Strong scripting skills in Python or Go for network automation.
DevOps or DevSecOps experience with CI/CD
AWS Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with container networking (e.g. Kubernetes)
Knowledge of other cloud platforms (Azure GCP)
Palo Alto or ZScaler experience is a Plus
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidate must be ready to Work from Office. Location: Mountain View San Diego Plano TX
