Job Description:
- Proactively analyze critical shortage reports to determine shipment priorities
- Communicate with suppliers regarding continuity of supply
- Manage supplier shipment planning to SAP schedule
- Execute supply management workflow
- Facilitate PO creation and parameter management for assigned supplier parts

- SAP experience is not required but is highly preferred
Major Purpose
- Supports and may lead a commodity Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit.
- Builds and develops a supply base for procuring less complex and strategic materials products supplies and services.
- Responsible for quality delivery supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process.
- Coordinates and leads efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during the early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (PDP).
- Facilitates the quality planning activities with suppliers.
Major Duties
- Execute in a supply chain of low complexity planning activities within a defined framework/system that mainly affect own organization/unit.
- Carry out a range of supplier management activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
- Collate and analyze data using preset tools methods and formats. Involves working independently.
- Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes procedures and precedents.
- Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective.
- Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the organizations policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
- Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures referring the most complex issues to others.
- Produce update and provide best practice support on complex Microsoft documents databases and other departmental systems advising colleagues as needed and using expertise to help improve processes.
