Job Description

  • Regulatory Compliance & Audits:
    • Ensure that all quality-related documents comply with food safety regulatory and industry standards such as FDA USDA and other relevant agencies.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and documents as required by government agencies.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve document control processes to increase efficiency accuracy and accessibility of quality documentation.
    • Ensure all corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are documented and resolved in a timely manner with assistance from other teams.
    • Regular review document logs to ensure all required records are complete and accurate.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) Support:
    • Support the development and maintenance of the companys Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure it aligns with industry best practices.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality documentation aligns with manufacturing processes product specifications and safety protocols.
    • Serve as a point of contact for all quality document inquiries and audits.
    • Facilitate audits with the Regulatory Manager by compiling documentation.
    • Develop tracking and documentation for all training materials resources and logs for staff related to HACCP SQF and other regulatory requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in food science Microbiology or related field; or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in document control quality assurance or regulatory compliance preferably in a meat processing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations quality management systems (QMS) and document control practices (FDA USDA etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with document control software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
