Responsibilities
The Laboratory Support Technician (LST) Team Leader coordinates the pre-analytical and post analytical phases of laboratory specimens for testing which includes collection registration ordering processing delivery and reporting of laboratory specimens. In addition the LST Team Leader evaluates specimen acceptability and responds to requests for information from customers. This position serves in the Laboratorys main communication and customer relations center. This position contributes directly to patient care by coordinating the team for accurately and timely processing specimens and dispersing information both in and outside the Laboratory.
