Job Description

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. Limited remote opportunities may be available within specific departments. Youll learn more about this during the recruitment process.

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform financial analysis reporting and budgeting for a specific operational area through a range of applications including journal entries report writing and review variance commentary and partnership with operators.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all month-end duties including but not limited to journal entries blackline reqs data requests and financial reports in compliance with UDX timelines.
  • Complete and/or audit financial reports that summarize divisional financial comparisons in the areas of labor non-labor allocations in/out.
  • Evaluate all costs incurred throughout the year looking for ways to reduce cost and find efficiencies. Assist Leader in the development of annual operating budgets and quarterly estimates (LEs).
  • Process all invoices complete necessary journal entries respond to emails timely and accurately monitor and track project spend/actuals.
  • Maintain an active relationship with Operating division. Prepare and present monthly variance reports. Analyze performance metrics and identify areas to improve. Recommend solutions to manage within budgets.
  • Prepare and coordinate special project/event budgets. Make recommendations regarding operational decisions related to those projects.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree (AA) is required.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years relevant Finance experience required.
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
