HireNow Staffing is seeking a seasoned Mammography Technologist with deep clinical expertise and ARRT-M certification to join a high-volume diagnostic imaging team in Houston. This is not an entry-level technologist role were looking for a skilled detail-oriented professional who understands the critical impact of early breast cancer detection and delivers compassionate precise care every time.
This Role Is Right for You If You Are
A certified mammography technologist with at least 4 years of recent experience
Passionate about accuracy patient dignity and breast health education
Comfortable working independently on digital 2D/3D mammography machines
Familiar with ACR accreditation protocols and quality assurance audits
Someone who can stay calm courteous and professional even under pressure
Minimum Qualifications These Are Deal-Breakers
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)
Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
Texas MRT License active and unrestricted
BLS or ACLS Certification current and from a recognized provider
Minimum 4 years of clinical experience specifically in Mammography
Ability to lift position and assist patients with compassion and dignity
Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with Hologic Selenia or Siemens systems
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
Experience with 3D tomosynthesis and breast ultrasound workflows
Prior involvement in ACR reaccreditation or MQSA inspections
Excellent EMR and PACS documentation habits
What Youll Be Doing
As a Sr. Mammography Technologist your work goes beyond imaging youre an educator a comforter and a first line of defense in breast cancer detection. Daily responsibilities include:
Performing screening and diagnostic mammograms per physician order and protocol
Educating patients on the procedure and providing emotional support
Positioning patients accurately and using ALARA techniques for safety
Documenting all patient and technical data accurately in EMR and PACS
Assisting radiologists with image-guided procedures as needed
Performing and documenting routine QA/QC checks on imaging equipment
Reporting equipment malfunctions immediately and ensuring compliance with safety policies
Participating in internal audits and ACR/MQSA quality reviews
Supporting newer staff and students as a mentor when appropriate
Upholding all HIPAA OSHA infection control and organizational protocols
