We are seeking an Expert DevOps Engineer to join our Product Engineering organization and lead the hands-on implementation of our cloud modernization and automation initiatives. Reporting to the Director of DevOps you will serve as a technical leader and individual contributor driving the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions across our cloud environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities requiring someone who can both architect solutions and mentor other engineers while remaining heavily involved in day-to-day implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications and modern workloads
- Implement and optimize Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform CloudFormation and Ansible
- Lead the technical implementation of container orchestration strategies using Kubernetes and Helm
- Architect and deploy automation solutions for cloud-based processing workloads and applications
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level DevOps engineers across global distributed teams
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment pipelines and improve delivery velocity
- Establish and enforce DevOps best practices coding standards and technical governance
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues across multi-cloud environments
- Drive the adoption of GitOps methodologies and automated testing practices
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new tools and technologies
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for production systems
- Create technical documentation runbooks and knowledge transfer materials
- Support cloud migration efforts from legacy on-premises systems to AWS and GCP
- Implement security scanning compliance and monitoring solutions within CI/CD workflows
Required Qualifications
- 12 years of software engineering or DevOps experience with 3 years in senior technical roles
- Deep hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar platforms
- Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform CloudFormation Ansible)
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes including cluster management networking security and Helm charts
- Strong background with containerization technologies (Docker container registries image security)
- Proven experience with multi-cloud platforms particularly AWS and GCP
- Solid understanding of Git workflows branching strategies and code management practices
- Experience with artifact management and repository tools (Nexus Artifactory)
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK stack)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python Bash PowerShell)
- Experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to other engineers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with configuration management and system administration in Linux environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical field
- Experience with cloud-based processing systems and modern application architectures
- Knowledge of cloud-based processing systems and application orchestration
- Experience with GitOps tools and methodologies (ArgoCD Flux)
- Understanding of security scanning tools and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with cloud migration projects and legacy system modernization
- Knowledge of networking DNS load balancing and distributed systems concepts
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
- Relevant certifications (AWS GCP Kubernetes etc.)
- Previous experience in cloud-native or modernization-focused organizations
