How will you make an impact

This role serves as a strategic catalystdelivering data-driven insights and actionable recommendations that sharpen Hostplus planning accuracy deepen member understanding and drive long-term business performance.

The opportunity

We are seeking a high-performing Strategy and Insights Analyst to support enterprise-wide strategic planning and data-driven decision-making. This is a critical role within our Strategy team where your analysis will directly influence the direction of the Fund and help us deliver enduring value to our members.

As Strategy and Insights Analyst youll drive our strategic planning capabilities by delivering incisive market analysis generating actionable insights and supporting the execution of core strategic initiatives. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners youll ensure that Hostplus remains responsive to member needs competitive shifts and emerging market opportunities.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Head of Strategy to deliver the annual strategic and business planning cycle
  • Monitor external market dynamics including member behaviour competitive landscape and regulatory changes
  • Develop dashboards reports and presentations that distil complex information into impactful strategy narratives
  • Support performance reporting including Quarterly Business Reviews and Member Outcomes Assessment
  • Lead the Hostplus customer insights program managing external research engagements and internal survey delivery
  • Oversee survey design and data management across platforms such as InMoment and Qualtrics
  • Translate research findings into business-focused recommendations and operational strategies
  • Equip cross-functional teams with insights that align to strategic goals and support continuous improvement

About you

  • Minimum 3 years in a strategy planning or research-focused role
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning business performance analysis and competitive benchmarking
  • Advanced analytical capability with experience interpreting complex data sets
  • Proficiency in data visualisation (e.g. Power BI Tableau) and digital survey tools
  • Demonstrated ability to craft high-impact reporting materials for senior stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Bachelors degree in Business Management Economics or related discipline
