Human Resources Business Partner

The Role

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join the People & Development (P&D) team in Clayton Utzs Brisbane office on a permanent full time basis. This is great opportunity for a HR Advisor or junior Business Partner to develop their career.

Working with a dynamic and collaborative team and reporting to the Brisbane P&D Manager you will provide trusted advice to our partners managers and employees. As part of the broader P&D team you will support in the delivery of people initiatives and operations across the employee life cycle ensuring alignment with the firms overarching people strategy.

This is a fast-paced dynamic role where no two days are the same. Youll enjoy a balanced mix of HR generalist responsibilities working with a diverse range of client groups.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Provide advice on firm policies and employee relations matters.
• Undertake the cyclical activities such as promotions annual performance and remuneration reviews and talent identification for your client groups.
• Support recruitment and workforce planning to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with the Learning & Leadership team to identify individuals for the firms excellence programs and other development opportunities.
• Champion culture and engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace.
• Coach and support Lawyers and our Business Advisory teams to achieve their goals.
• Advocate for the firms diversity and inclusion strategy ensuring it is embedded in all aspects of the employee experience.
• Promote the firms health and wellbeing programs connecting individuals to support services as needed.
• Contribute to key projects and change management initiatives that align with the firms strategic priorities.
  

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role you will bring:

• Previous experience in a professional services or corporate environment as an HR Advisor or junior Business Partner.
• Effective communication skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive and solutions oriented
• A commitment to balance business goals with compliance and operational success.
• Ability to prioritise client service by being responsive with a strong sense of accountability for your remit
• A curiosity to learn our business and be commercially minded.

With a presence in each of our offices the national P&D team is an integral part of our Business Advisory Services department. The team provides strategic business partnering support to the firm delivering a range of initiatives to ensure Clayton Utz remains a great place to work.
