What you will do in the role
In this role youll act as the key interface between vendors internal teams and customers to deliver strategic growth build trusted relationships and ensure flawless execution across go-to-market pricing inventory and compliance functions for our consumer hardware products.
Build and execute GTM strategies strengthening relationships with vendors to maximise sales growth and profitability
Understand vendor products pricing programs scan promotions and price protection mechanisms
Manage pricing structures including pricing breaks and maintain up-to-date pricelists for internal and external stakeholders
Acquire develop and manage customer accounts to drive long-term value
Review retailer and vendor forecasts to optimise revenue and reduce stock risk
Oversee revenue margin rebates accruals and claims to ensure accurate financial performance of your portfolio
Forecast and manage inventory to align with business objectives and market demand
Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail Account Managers and internal teams to uncover and drive new opportunities
Ensure all products meet current Australian regulatory compliance standards
Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and provide insight into portfolio performance
Provide mentorship and guidance to Junior and Assistant Product Managers
What you will need to succeed in the role
Proven experience in retail or consumer product management - essential
Experience in distribution and/or working within a distributor model - essential
Strong vendor and customer negotiation and relationship-building skills
Sales-focused mindset with the drive to meet and exceed business targets
Analytical thinker with problem-solving capability and operational efficiency
Excellent multitasking prioritisation and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel PowerPoint Outlook Word)
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Team-oriented collaborative attitude with the ability to lead and support others
Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes for consumer products (preferred)
