Join Suncorps Investments Team in a pivotal role focused on driving portfolio performance insights and leading sustainable investing initiatives. This dynamic opportunity blends strategic analysis stakeholder engagement and climate-focused investment action. Were seeking a curious ambitious analyst with strong communication skills a solid understanding of fixed income portfolio risk and a passion for improving processes that support net-zero transition and responsible investment outcomes.

What you

  • Prepare and provide Net Zero emissions intensity attribution reports to Board and risk committees investment manager committees responsible investment committees and the portfolio management team.
  • Provide analysis to identify and quantify impacts of responsible investment policies on portfolio performance attribute changes in portfolio emissions intensity over time and analyse emerging ESG trends in investment universe. Provide insightful commentary on emissions intensity performance.
  • Develop tools to monitor and forecast emissions intensity within the portfolio and benchmark universe. Develop what-if scenarios (portfolio changes market events transition pathways etc) and their impacts on portfolio and assess alignment to Net Zero commitments.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to develop responsible investment frameworks and policies and analyse the financial and non-financial implications on the portfolio.
  • Engage external stakeholders including external investment managers and third party ESG data providers to further enhance alignment of emissions intensity performance to Net Zero commitments and improve data quality and methodologies processes.
  • Co-ordinate prepare and provide oversight for key investment reports such as Board and risk committees investment manager committee asset allocation committee and external disclosures
  • Provide risk analysis relating to asset & liability management quantifying portfolio impacts from yield curve movements and hedging activities.
  • Liaise with senior executives on investment income reporting capital forecasting and Investment budget/forecasting processes. Calculate & deliver regulatory capital credit risk charge and asset risk charge requirements according to APRA GPS14 standards.
  • Support on-going projects including implementation of risk analytic platforms service provider due diligence and transition activities.
  • Monitor investigate and report on compliance with mandate and governance (RAS) guidelines.

What youll Bring:

  • Mandatory undergraduate qualifications (e.g. Finance Economics Mathematics Engineering Actuarial studies)
  • Desirable post graduate studies CFA CIPM CAIA FRM
  • 5 years experience in investment analysis role within funds management asset owner or custody environment.
  • Understanding investment strategies and role of diversified asset exposures as they relate to general insurers. Fixed income analysis experience preferred
  • Experience with ESG data and platforms (MSCI Sustainalytics Bloomberg etc) will be looked upon favourably
