Main Activities:
- Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L B/S payments).
- Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
- Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
- Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
- Review Chevron customers taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance.
- Leads coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures.
- Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns.
- Tax determination on customers billing.
- Understanding of regulations and business an accounting acumen.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- ERP/tax applications and databases maintenance.
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in accounting business finance or tax
- Combination of 4 years of tax accounting finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skills
- Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP)
Preferred qualifications:
- US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience
- Soft skills: coordination/Leadership skills
- Analytical skills and critical thinking
- Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
