What You Will Do

Interns/Coop at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging meaningful and impactful projects across our business. Were looking for students with an engineers curiosity an explorers heart and a perfectionists grit to help us build the future of aerospace.

Whether supporting Mature Commercial Engines our industry-leading Geared Turbofan engines Military Engine programs Operations or Business Support functions the objectives of our program are to help you to develop an understanding of our industry our company its operations and how each discipline and department contributes to the success of our products and customer partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the preparation of project plans schedules and budget.
• Monitor progress identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules and ensure smooth project operations.
• Gathers data to monitor project progress in terms of cost schedule and technical specification to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.
• Maintains plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure established targets are met.
• Responsible for project assignments with various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
• English (read write speak) is required when communicating with customers co-workers or supervisors who only speak English.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Aerospace Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design development technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases combustors turbines (vanes blades rotors and cases) augmenters (military) nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.

Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis Durability and Product Definition.

This position is classified as hybrid. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
