Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing mechanical engineering design services and other related mechanical development support throughout all stages of the project life cycle. This engineer will work under close supervision from other more senior engineers and support our U.S. Energy and U.S. AutoForce divisions.This position will be located in Appleton WI with requirements to travel up to 30% of the time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop mechanical components and system concepts that satisfy business and compliance needs/demands.
- Ability to read review and create P&IDs PFDs layout drawings and piping fabrication isometric drawings using various AutoCAD products such as AutoCAD AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Ability to model/assemble parts/components in 3D using various AutoCAD products such as Inventor Revit and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Provide selection and specifications of tanks valves pumps and other mechanical equipment.
- Apply necessary NFPA API and ASME standards to ensure design compliance in the project permitting stage to final inspections.
- Perform calculations
- Participate in design reviews for projects to ensure quality design output.
- Complete all as-built updates to drawings upon completion of projects.
- Maintain the drawing database and vault to ensure a consolidated record of all projects is kept.
- Confer with engineering management and project engineers on problems encountered and questions arising on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology is required for this position
- Suggested minimum of 1-3 years experience as a mechanical engineer or related position
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
