Job Description


As a Quality Technician/Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the following:


- Interface with manufacturing design purchasing and process engineering on quality issues.

- Interface directly with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve quality problems.

- Prepare media documents such as quality assurance directives and company operating procedures to define operating methods which optimize productivity and product quality.

-Identify & Initiate corrective / preventive actions (Deltas Customer & Vendor)

-Assist with maintenance of Calibration SystemWrite or revise ISO9001 / AS9100 Procedures RMA Monitoring/Tracking coordinating material review board (MRB) activities and maintaining nonconformance reports (NCR).

-Troubleshoot mechanical assembly problems -investigate root cause & Initiate quality improvements through design changes tooling improvement inspection methods and process changes.

-Participate/ implement Lean and 5 S Principles and participate/drive Kaizen Blitz Activities.

-Perform the following: Continuous Improvement Activities internal and supplier audits First Article Inspection Receiving inspection Final inspection Internal and roving audits; testing at all stages of proof-of-concept prototype verification and validation for new product development.


Requirements

- Have a minimum of three (3) years experience in a related field.

- ASQ CQE certification Green Belt certification or work experience using statistical and problem-solving analysis tools

- Machine shop experience with CMM / CAM / CAD skill is a plus

- Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and machine tools required in the fabrication of connectors.

- Responsible organized and detail-oriented self-starter and team player with excellent communications analytical organizational and time management skills.

- Good written and verbal communication skills ability to interact with customers vendors engineers

- Self-motivated and able to work well both independently and as a member of a team

- Ability to work well in a small team environment.

- Experience working in an AS9100 environment

- Experience working in an Lean Six Sigma environment

- Experience performing supplier audits

- Experience with inspections of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies

- Understanding schematics mechanical drawings and mechanical testing techniques

- Experience Performing testing at all stages of proof-of-concept prototype verification and validation for new product development

- Experience Managing corrective action to determine root cause and provide total closed loop corrective actions
