JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Director of The Office of Healthcare Coordination (OHC) the Medical Director Outpatient Psychiatry is responsible for the direct provision of psychiatric services as well as the supervision of outpatient psychiatric services delivered by others within Bellefaire JCB.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Provide the direct clinical and administrative supervision of psychiatric providers and psychiatric nurse practitioners practicing outpatient psychiatry within Bellefaire JCB.
- Responsible for the clinical supervision of the outpatient psychiatric services ensuring clients and families receive continuous quality care.
- Provide direct service to clients and families seeking care through outpatient services as needed.
- Maintain appropriate and compliant documentation according to the Agency standards for all clients.
- Provide appropriate guidance to all outpatient physicians nurse practitioners physician assistants and similar providers for coding diagnosing treating and creating appropriate documentation.
- In collaboration with OHC leadership continuously develop and establish best-practice standards for outpatient care. Ensure such standards are implemented among all providers within the Outpatient Psychiatry program.
- Participate in outreach to the community to introduce and establish community contacts with aligned practice and outreach organizations.
OTHER DUTIES:- Attend scheduled staff meetings supervision and on-going training.
- All required training certifications and licensures must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the clients treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
- Licensure: Licensed to practice medicine by the State of Ohio.
Board Certified in Psychiatry required; Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
Registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).- Skills/Competencies:
