Job Description
Job Summary:
The Medical Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care conducting health assessments diagnosing illnesses and implementing treatment plans. This role requires a dedicated healthcare professional who can ensure optimal patient care while adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations of patients.
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Prescribe administer and monitor medications in accordance with relevant regulations.
Educate patients on medication usage potential side effects and lifestyle modifications.
Ensure that all patient care activities comply with established clinical guidelines and quality standards.
Document patient evaluations treatments and medications accurately in medical records.
Supervise junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies providing immediate care as necessary.
Participate in the management of critical situations within the healthcare facility.
Conduct pre-employment medical checks and routine health screenings.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on medical advancements.
Requirements
Specifications:
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Medicine (MBBS) from a recognized institution; current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years post-NYSC experience in a clinical setting; additional qualifications such as a Master s degree in a relevant field are advantageous.
Required Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in managing patient records and using electronic health systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
