At Lifescale Analytics we help achieve data driven decisions by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovative solutions that ultimately help our clients to navigate their ever-changing data have an opportunity for a Business Analyst. This role will be an Onsite Role in Tallahassee; FL. Telecommuting will not be considered Travel and relocation expenses will not be covered by the client or employer. This job is to be performed onsite Monday-Friday during business hours.

Applicants responding to this position must be a US Citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. Must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.

The Employer will not sponsor applicants for any employment visas at hiring or in the future including but not limited to H-1B EAD or OPT visas. Corp-to-Corp or subcontract personnel will not be considered for this position.

Scope of Services:

Primary Job Duties/Tasks:

The activities the candidate will be tasked with include but are not limited to the following:



Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree or masters degree in Business Administration Communication Information Systems or other related field is required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of Business Process Analysts and systems analysis is required.
  • Proficiency in process mapping/modeling with tools such as Visio is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Word PowerPoint .
  • Proficiency in writing SQL Queries and performing Data Analysis is required.
  • Knowledge of data migration is required.
  • Experience working with Microsoft DevOps is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of Rules 60GG-1 60GG-5 Florida Administrative Code is desired.
  • Knowledge of change and release management is desired.
  • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance tools and techniques is desired.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with agile project experience and use of Azure DevOps to manage user requirements and backlogs.

Job Specific Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

The submitted candidate must be able to apply specific knowledge skills and abilities in the following areas:

  • Business Analysis: Ability to perform detailed research business analysis as-is and to-be analysis process modeling.
  • Use of software tools is required and include but are not limited to MS Word MS PowerPoint MS Excel and Visio.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is highly desired.
  • System Analysis & Design: Ability to perform System Analysis & Design using a variety of modeling methodologies and techniques.
  • Facilitation: Ability to expertly facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Technical Understanding: Excellent Technical knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure and software development practices and techniques.
  • Project Management: Knowledge of State of Florida Project Management Rule 60GG-1. Ability to apply principles and techniques in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Additional:

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft products: SharePoint Teams Word Excel PowerPoint Power BI DevOPS and Project.
  • Ability to relate to stakeholders needs document their requirements and perform duties in the absence of staff.
  • The ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships with others.
  • Ability to adjust to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse work assignments.

The submitted candidate must be able to apply common knowledge skills and abilities in the following areas:

  • Customer Service: Works well with clients and customers (i.e. business office public or other agencies). Able to assess the needs of the customer provide information or assistance to satisfy expectations or resolve a problem.
  • Decision Making: Makes sound well-informed and objective decisions utilizing critical thinking skills and analysis.
  • Flexibility: is open to change new processes (or process improvement) and new information. Can adapt in response to new information changing conditions or unexpected obstacles. The ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships with others.

  • Quality Assurance: Knowledge of ideologies techniques and tools for quality assurance and control. The ability to put ideologies techniques and tools into practice.
