DescriptionTheMetrology Engineer II will be responsible for developing and implementing precision measurement techniques conducting calibration processes and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our measurement systems. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision across our manufacturing processes.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division located in Fort Smith AR.
Responsibilities- Designs establishes analyzes and revises systems for calibration and repair of physical/thermodynamic/mechanical and electrical test and measurement equipment.
- Works with technicians to resolve technical procedural logistical and material problems with the calibration and repair of Test and Measurement Equipment and associated processes.
- Develops/revises calibration procedures to support new and changing requirements.
- Creates analyzes and revises parameter statistical measurement uncertainty analyses for maintenance of laboratory accreditation.
Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineer or related degree
- 3 years of experience in a Metrology Laboratory with a diversity of disciplines and capabilities (electrical thermodynamic mechanical pressure Mass Force and Weighing Device).
- Experience managing Calibration tracking software- Proficient using computers and major components of MS Office suite.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills to engage with a team
HOW TO STAND OUT:
- Experience in various electrical thermodynamic mass pressure liquid flow and force disciplines.
- Ability to develop metrology measurement techniques and procedures.
- Strong experience calculating overall measurement uncertainties including the identification to all contributing factors.
- Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
- Strong math skills.
- Proficient using computers and major components of the MS Office suite.
