Tasks
What you can expect:
- Design build and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines with a particular emphasis on streaming data. Leverage modern technologies including tools like Rising Wave Kafka Mage ai Spark and Redshift to ensure the seamless processing of data in batch and real-time.
- Design build and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines incorporating best practices for reliability scalability and efficiency.
- Optimize and maintain the data pipelines and data platform infrastructure.
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or analytical field (e.g. Computational Mechatronics Mathematics Physics etc.)
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer focusing on building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Proficient in SQL
- Proficient in Python
- Proficient in Git
- Cloud Experience (AWS is a bonus)
- Advanced English level
- Passionate about learning new tools and technologies and can quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience with tools related to streaming data and real-time data processing such as Apache Flink or similar technologies. This includes designing and implementing solutions that can handle data in real time ensuring the scalability and efficiency of streaming data pipelines.
- Bonus: Has worked with DBT Rising Wave Kafka and Kubernetes
- Bonus: Knowledge of Amazon Redshift and experience optimizing its performance.
- Bonus: Prior experience with data orchestration tools.
