Job Description

Summary: The Administrative Assistant position will providing administrative and office support to the Director Deans teachers students of TCLI students in Transitional Housing and volunteers.

Essential job responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the Deans by handling a wide variety of situations involving the administrative functions of the office. This includes:

  • Schedule and organize activities such as meetings and department activities
  • Create spreadsheets documents and memos
  • Manage direct correspondence (emails letters phone calls)
  • Maintaining and updating the filing system through saving & printing of documents
  • Track attendance sheets for classes chapels and other required activities
  • Assist with new student orientation preparation (manuals & info packets)
  • Transcribing and finalizing meeting minutes
  • Update and post client appointments

Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Administrative and/or Customer Services experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Database spreadsheet and word processing computer skills
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
  • Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges including mental health and addiction.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients staff and leadership.
  • The ability to live and work by MnTCs culture of honor & core values practicing compassion honor respect integrity servanthood and trust.
  • Must be able to meet specific staff requirements outlined in Minnesota Statutes 245G.11 (including understanding of client rights). Reference: 245G.11 MN Statutes

Compensation range: $18 per hour DOQ
