  • Level 5: $81593 - $92681 (pro-rata) 17% Superannuation
  • 1 position based at Western Sydney Local Health District Blacktown Hospital
  • 1 position based at Central Coast Local Health District

About the role

We are seeking two Research Assistants (Research Nurses) to take a leading role in participant recruitment data collection and follow-up for a multi-site clinical trial funded by the NSW Office of Health and Medical Research. The trial is evaluating the effectiveness of a nurse-coordinated resistance exercise program compared to standard care for individuals with heart failure.

About you

To be successful you will hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent nursing degree along with current registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will have the capability to support research in accordance with Good Clinical Practice standards and demonstrate initiative sound judgment and a proactive approach to improving workplace systems and processes. Strong time management skills are essential as well as the ability to effectively plan prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You will be confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team and your previous clinical experience particularly in cardiovascular or chronic disease settings and/or prior experience in coordinating clinical trials will be highly regarded.
