We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the development and production of high-performance storage systems. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects. The intern will assist in improving manufacturing processes supporting new product introductions (NPI) and helping maintain the highest standards of product quality and efficiency. This position is located onsite in Chatsworth CA.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in documenting and updating manufacturing processes work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Support the development of tools fixtures and methods to streamline product assembly and improve quality.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production issues and recommend solutions.
• Help perform basic failure analysis and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications under guidance to support production.
• Contribute to packaging design evaluations to improve product safety during shipping.
• Participate in training activities and knowledge transfer sessions with production teams.
• Support the preparation and management of engineering change orders (ECOs).

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in manufacturing product development and hands-on engineering.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication organization and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment when needed.

Pay Range: $23-$25 an hour
